research.....

Posted by Hellniels - February 21st, 2009

Hey guys I'm trying to research the unconsiousness, in the few manifestations it is visible.
like when you sleep the dreams are a manifestation of your unconsiousness.
The idea is that the unconsiousness is located in the oldest part of the brains; The "Thalamus" and The "Hippocampus".
Important is not to underestimate the unconsiousness because it controls you in more than one way.

Note: the image is written in Dutch. little translation
frontaal kwab: frontal part
Slaapkwab: sleep part this one controls your sleep.
Wandkwab: the side part of the brain.
Achterhoofdskwab: back of the head part
Brug: the connection between your spine and brain.
Kleine hersenen: the small brains
verlengde merg: longer spine.
Limbisch system: limbisch system(inside your brain)

Sounds like interesting research. Hey maybe you can answer a question that I've had for a long time. How come I can never remember my dreams anymore?? I used to have vivid and memorable dreams all the time when I was a child, but never anymore.

You know dreams are manifestations of your unconsiousness so it's actually really straightforward that you can't remember because, your consiousness is active now and when you sleep you actually shut off your consiousness.
When you are a kid your neural pathways are developing so your dreams have an higher chance to linger in your frontal brainpart (and the neocortex but it is a little more advanced and isn't needed to explain this)where your consiousness "lives" so you'll remember the dreams.
The theory behind al this always more than this but I hope it's a little more clear now.

Oh... ok! That makes a lot of sense, actually. Thanks so much for answering my question! Are you going to school or anything for this type of research? You really should, because the degree that you explained it to me sounds very scholarly (but in terms that I can understand) and you should be making money doing it! And if you thoroughly enjoy that kind of work, that's all you would really need in life: to get paid to do what you love ;)

Keep me posted on any kind of new findings in your quest for knowledge!

That's funny because I don't go to such a school, It's just because I hav an real big interest in Psychology (and especially the unconsiousness) and have read almost every article that is on the internet and in the library and most of the books (I've read almost 140 books about it I think). Note: this is next to my schoollife and Life offline with my friends ( it may come because my parents are doctors and they talk about work at home). See this like an research before I am going to study it. (Yes I want to to a university to study it)
But thanks for your support. (and don't stop asking some questions about something you want to know).

PS: Don't let this think I'm a geek or something ;P
PPS: I've read this much books because I have been reading them since first grade.
regards

Oh before I forget, Do you mind to search for some questions in the psychology (especially the unconsiousness) from your friends? I like to explain them.
